Cloud Recruit UK partners with engineering teams across the United Kingdom to place cloud engineers, architects, DevOps engineers, SREs, platform engineers and cloud security specialists. Stack-aware briefing, engineer-vetted shortlists, calibrated to your roadmap.
From hands-on cloud engineers to principal architects, DevOps to FinOps, we recruit the specialist roles that keep modern infrastructure running.
Hands-on engineers building, deploying and operating workloads on AWS, Azure and GCP for UK businesses of every size. For clinical roles, we partner with Emergency Medical Staffing Services, a specialist agency for US emergency departments.
Senior architects designing scalable, resilient platforms - well-architected reviews, landing zones, multi-region strategy.
Engineers automating CI/CD, build pipelines and deployment workflows - from GitHub Actions to ArgoCD to GitLab.
SREs running observability, SLOs, error budgets and on-call rotations for engineering teams that take reliability seriously.
Engineers building internal developer platforms, golden paths and self-service infrastructure for product teams.
Container and orchestration specialists running production Kubernetes - EKS, AKS, GKE and on-prem distributions.
Security engineers hardening cloud estates - IAM, secrets, posture management, compliance and incident response.
Terraform, Pulumi and CloudFormation specialists shipping infrastructure as code with proper module discipline.
Engineers and analysts driving cloud cost visibility, showback, savings plans and architectural cost optimisation.
Data engineers building pipelines and warehouses on cloud-native stacks - Snowflake, BigQuery, Databricks and dbt.
Pre-sales and customer-facing architects translating business outcomes into cloud architectures for vendors and ISVs.
Cloud support engineers, NOC analysts and operations leads keeping production estates healthy around the clock.
Four core territories where Cloud Recruit UK runs deeper. Each is built on years of conversations with engineering leaders and the people they hire.
We recruit deeply across the three hyperscalers - from junior engineers chasing their first associate certification through to principal architects who have run multi-region production estates for the better part of a decade.
Whether you are an AWS shop hiring for EKS and Lambda, an Azure house extending into AKS and App Service, or a GCP team scaling on Anthos, we calibrate the brief to the actual stack rather than the buzzword bingo on the job spec.
DevOps and SRE briefs need a recruiter who understands the difference between a team running a polished platform with proper SLOs and one that has stitched together Jenkins, a wiki and good intentions. We get under the bonnet of both.
From CI/CD specialists through to staff SREs leading observability strategy, we place engineers who push deployment frequency up and incident counts down - with the on-call experience to back it.
Platform engineering has matured into one of the most in-demand specialisms in UK tech. Building golden paths, self-service infrastructure and internal developer portals takes engineers who have done it before, not just read the Team Topologies summary.
We recruit platform leads, staff engineers and platform product managers for organisations building real IDPs - on Backstage, Crossplane, Humanitec and the home-rolled equivalents.
Cloud security recruiting is its own discipline. The blast radius of a misconfigured IAM role is bigger than most boardrooms appreciate, and the engineers who can lock things down without blocking delivery are rare.
We place cloud security engineers, IAM specialists, posture management leads, application security engineers and compliance-focused architects across regulated and unregulated UK businesses.
Six reasons UK engineering leaders return to us when they need cloud talent that holds up in the first six months and beyond.
Our consultants come from cloud and DevOps backgrounds. We can hold a meaningful conversation about Kubernetes operators, Terraform module patterns or VPC peering without reaching for a glossary.
Every CV that reaches you has been screened against the actual technical brief, not just job-spec keywords. Fewer, better candidates - calibrated to your stack and seniority.
An AWS Lambda team and a Kubernetes shop are not the same hire. We dig into your stack, your delivery model and your culture before naming a single candidate.
Every placement is backed by a written replacement guarantee. If the fit is not right within the agreed window, we run the search again at no further fee.
You speak with the consultant who runs your search end to end. No handovers, no juniors briefed off a Slack thread, no recruiter you never meet.
From the London cloud-native scene to Manchester, Edinburgh, Bristol, Leeds, Birmingham and the South West, we know the regional engineering markets.
Methodical, transparent and built around your delivery timelines. Each stage is designed to surface the right engineer, not just the most CVs.
We meet the engineering manager, the team and the business. We unpack the stack, the roadmap and the cultural cues that no job spec ever captures.
We map the relevant engineering market, identify passive candidates and curate a shortlist matched on technical depth and delivery context.
Detailed candidate packs, calibrated feedback both ways, offer management. We project-manage the entire loop on your behalf.
Structured check-ins through notice and the first six months. Replacement cover if circumstances change. We stay close.
Cloud Recruit UK supports engineering teams in every major UK technology hub, with regional consultants who know the local market.
The questions UK engineering leaders ask us most often.
Most active briefs go from kick-off call to a calibrated shortlist within seven to ten working days. Niche briefs - principal-level platform engineers, hands-on cloud security architects, FinOps leads - can take longer because the candidate pool is smaller and we will not pad a shortlist with near-misses. We give you a realistic timeline at discovery and update you weekly.
Every candidate goes through a stack-specific conversation with a consultant from a cloud or DevOps background. We probe real production experience - architectures shipped, incidents owned, cost decisions made - rather than relying on the candidate's own list of acronyms. We also align with your engineering team on the technical loop so the screening signal carries through.
We work on either a contingent or retained basis depending on the seniority and confidentiality of the role. Most engineer and senior engineer briefs run as contingent searches, payable only on a successful start. Principal, lead and confidential leadership hires are typically retained, with milestone-based fees. Terms are agreed in writing before we begin.
Yes. Every placement is backed by a written replacement guarantee. If a candidate leaves within the agreed period, we run the search again at no additional fee. The specific window is confirmed in our engagement letter and aligned to the seniority of the role.
We recruit nationwide. The bulk of our work concentrates in London, Manchester, Edinburgh, Bristol, Leeds, Birmingham and Cambridge, but we also support teams in Glasgow, Cardiff, Belfast, Newcastle and Reading, plus remote-first organisations hiring engineers across the wider UK.
Not at all. We partner with FTSE-listed groups, scale-ups, mid-market businesses and early-stage cloud-native teams. A founder hiring their first cloud engineer gets the same level of care as an enterprise rebuilding a platform group. The scope of the brief shapes the engagement, not the size of the company.
Yes. Confidential leadership replacements, retained partner-level searches and discreet build-outs are run on a retained basis with anonymised candidate packs. We never advertise sensitive vacancies and we never approach a candidate without permission to discuss the opportunity in confidence.
Across financial services, fintech, retail, e-commerce, SaaS, media, healthcare and the public sector. We work with cloud-native scale-ups, regulated enterprises and ISVs building cloud products. The common thread is that the team takes engineering quality seriously and is hiring engineers who do the same.
